Making a charitable donation is not only a chance to make a difference; it’s also an excellent way to reduce your tax burden for 2017.
Since we’re in the Real Estate Business, we love the idea of donating to Habitat for Humanity, a legitimate 501c3 non-profit organization. Check out their website to see the many things you can donate: www.habitat.org
Or visit www.charitynavigator.org to find many more “legitimate” charities you can donate to.
Just remember you can only write-off charitable donations of $250 or more and only if you itemize your deductions on your federal form 1040 tax return.
